QUETTA
Quetta, the capital of Balochistan (1692m) lies at the mouth of the Bolan Pass. It has three large craggy mountains, Chiltan, Zarghun and Kohe Murdar, that seem to brood upon this pleasant town. Quetta can rightly be called the fruit basket of Pakistan. The Quetta-Pishin-Zhob valleys are literally covered with fruit orchards and are lovely to visit in spring which is the season of blossoms. Mastung, Nushki, Loralai, Gulistan and Quetta itself grows best varieties of apples, pomegranates, peaches, pears, cherries, almonds, walnuts, pistachios, chilghoza, musk-melon, water melons and grapes. This region is equally rich in natural resources as well.
