hours on Saturday October 8, 2005, Pakistan was struck by the
worst ever earthquake in its history with a magnitude of 7.6 on the
Richter scale. The earthquake affected the Northern area of Pakistan,
causing human damages at an unprecedented level.

To provide relief to the affectees of
the earthquake, the Government has established the
"President's Relief
Fund for Earthquake Victims 2005".
