Khwaja Ghulam Farid (1845–1901), often called Khwaja Farid, is one of the great Sufi poets of the Saraiki belt. His kafiyan—short lyric poems—blend devotion, desert imagery of the Rohi Cholistan, and everyday speech. He wrote in Saraiki and related dialects of southern Punjab, and his verse still circulates in qawwali, folk singing, and printed diwans.
